Association of Christian Parents of Ukraine Established

On 1 December, in the office of the Department of the Committee of the Patriarchal Curia of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC), on the initiative of the UGCC Committee on Education, the constitutive assembly of the Association of the Christian Parents of Ukraine was held. The event was attended by parents of children who study at educational institutions of UGCC and other Christian-oriented institutions.

In the beginning, the parents were addressed by the head of the Committee of UGCC on Education, Sr. Khrystofora Bushtyn who told the audience about the committee’s activity and the international experience of the work of the Association of European Christian Parents.

Then, the floor was given to a co-organizer of the meeting, Ms. Oksana Kocherhan, who underlined the main objectives of the association, namely, to support educational projects introducing Christian values and the wisdom of the Bible in the educational process, represent the interests of Christian institutions in the society and in relations with European colleagues, create conditions for the spiritual development of parents, integrate the Associations of Christian Parents of Ukraine with similar European organizations, reported the Information Department of UGCC.
