As reported, the Supreme Court of the annexed Crimea recognized the public association Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people as an extremist organization and banned its activities in Russia. The head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Refat Chubarov, is convinced that the international community, including the United Nations, will soon react to the prohibition of the Mejlis in the annexed Crimea. The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation put the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people in the list of public and religious associations, whose activities were suspended in connection with the conduct of their extremist activity. Refat Chubarov, the head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, introduced the state of emergency of the Mejlis under the occupation.
