In favor of dialogue: Orthodox Church of Cyprus comments on conflict between Constantinople and Moscow

The official website of the Orthodox Church of Cyprus has posted a statement on the Ukrainian issue, according to Cerkvarium.

The document states that the Church of Cyprus “maintains good relations with all the local Orthodox Churches, ranging from the Ecumenical Patriarchate to the youngest Church of the Czech lands and Slovakia, as well as with the Holy Russian Church.”

The Orthodox Church of Cyprus calls on everybody to avoid public statements with striking headlines that only aggravate the situation.

According to the statement, the Church of Cyprus hopes that all problems will be solved “in a sincere dialogue with love.”

In addition, the Orthodox Church of Cyprus has declared its readiness to facilitate such a dialogue.
