Locum Tenens of the UOC takes part in the Synod in Moscow

On July 25, in the Patriarchal and Synodal residence in the Danilov Monastery in Moscow under the chairmanship of Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, a regular meeting of the Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church began.

The Locum Tenens of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Moscow Patriarchate Metropolitan of Chernivtsi and Bukovina Onufry takes part in the Holy Synod.

Before the meeting, Patriarch Kirill and members of the Synod prayed for the soul of the Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Volodymyr who died recently.

Addressing the members of the Holy Synod, Patriarch Kirill, mentioned Metropolitan Volodymyr's achievements in preserving the unity of the canonical Church in Ukraine.
