OCU delegation visits Athos for the first time
This morning, February 8, 2019, the representatives of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine for the first time in the OCU history celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Mount Athos. The Ukrainian delegation consists mainly of representatives of the former UOC-Kyiv Patriarchate, led by Bishop Pavlo of Odessa and Balta, according to Cerkvarium.
The visit began at the Pantokrator monastery. This is the third of the Athos monasteries, which entered into formal relations with the OCU. Two more monasteries - Xenophon and Vatoped - sent their representatives to the enthronement of Metropolitan Epifaniy.
