Sasik received permission from the Pope to serve both in the Greek Catholic and the Latin rites. From 1990 to 1992, he studied at the Papal Institute “Teresianum” in Rome, where he received a master’s degree. From 1992 to 1998, Fr. Sasik worked in the apostolic nunciature in Kyiv.
