Ternopil Regional Committee for the Rescue of the Nation and State Calls Ukrainians to Join UOC-KP in Prayer on St. Volodymyr’s Hill

On July 26, 2010, the members of the Ternopil Regional Committee for the Rescue of the Nation and State discussed the situation in Ukraine and the visit of the patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church. They passed a statement signed by nearly thirty representatives of political parties and organizations. "The citizen of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Gundiaiev ("Patriarch Kirill"), uses his visits to Ukraine to implement the political concept of the Russian World where there in no room for independent Ukraine and which is developed by the Moscow leadership and is hostile to the Ukrainian statehood," reads the statement published by the website of the Ternopil Regional Council.

The members of the Ternopil Regional Committee for Rescue of the Nation and State call Ukrainians to join protests against the visit of Patriarch Kirill and participate in the religious procession from the Cathedral of St. Volodymyr to the Hill of St. Volodymyr to be held on July 28 by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate.
