Transcarpathian Baptists Publish First Newspaper

The Evangelical Baptists in Transcarpathia (far southwestern Ukraine) have begun publishing the region’s first Baptist newspaper, “The Carpathian Christian.” As reported by the Radiotserkva info-center on 2 December 2001, the purpose of the publication is to witness to Christ. It will tell about the Church’s life in the region: the activities of missionaries and youth, the ministries of families and sisterhoods, raising children and charitable endeavors.
