30,000 Hasidic pilgrims expected to arrive in Uman

Preparations for the mass arrival of Hasidic pilgrims, which is expected in September-October this year, have started in the city of Uman. According to forecasts, more than 30,000 pilgrims are going to attend the celebration of Rosh Hashana at the grave of Rabbi Nachman, infomist.ck.ua reports.

Head of Uman District Office of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in Cherkasy region, Yevhen Prykhodko, noted that Israeli citizens have the opportunity to use visa-free travel regime, which allows staying up to 90 days every 180 days in Ukraine.

"However, 26 Israeli citizens permanently reside in Cherkasy region, 10 were brought to administrative responsibility, a judgment of refoulement was adopted regarding 8 persons,” the Department of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in Cherkasy region notes.

In 2018, the celebration of Rosh Hashanah in Uman was attended by 27,876 Hasidic pilgrims from 22 countries.
