5,583 People Participate in Easter Dance in Drohobych

On April 17, in the western Ukrainian city of Drohobych, the largest haiyvka (Easter folk dance) in Ukraine was organized by youth organizations.

On April 17, in the western Ukrainian city of Drohobych, the largest haiyvka (Easter folk dance) in Ukraine was organized by youth organizations, reported ІА ZIK.

A three-kilometer Curvy Dance chain from the Church of St. Yur to Shpyhlir’s architectural monument was formed by at least 5,583 persons according to registration records. Even more unregistered people joined the dance.  

The dance was recognized by experts to be a record of Ukraine and the organizers were given special diplomas.
