66% of Ukrainians agree that representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine contributed to the Russian aggression. Sociologists conducted a survey in March.

This was reported by the Razumkov Center and the Democratic Initiatives Foundation, according to Gazeta.ua.

More than 50% in each region of Ukraine consider the activities of this structure to be a factor that contributed to the Russian invasion.

Sociologists surveyed 2,017 respondents from March 23 to 30. The sampling error does not exceed 2.3%.

Last year, the SBU conducted counterintelligence measures at facilities used by representatives of the ROC in Ukraine. Russian passports, St. George ribbons, symbols of the "Opposition Platform - For Life", and methodological materials of the head of the ROC, Kirill Gundyaev, were found in the dioceses.

In April, it was reported that the former abbot of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Pavlo (Lebed), was suspected. He made statements that either justified or denied the actions of the aggressor country, the Russian Federation.

The court ordered him to be placed under house arrest until May 30.
