The Lviv City Council has given a Christmas present to the Church.
The Lviv City Council has given a Christmas present to the Church. On 9 December, at the session, the deputies passed a resolution to release religious organizations and educational institutions in 2012 from payment of the rental for the land and the land tax as regards the payment to the city budget. During the year, the city council received petitions of religious organizations and educational institutions asking to grant them benefits with regard to the rentals. In view of the fact that the Churches and religious organizations are non-profit organizations, the council released them from the payments.
The list of the religious organizations includes 8 religious organizations of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and Kyivan Patriarchate. So reported Zaхіd.net.
