According to the press center of the emergency service Directorate of Ukraine in Lviv region, on January 7 at 13:21 it was reported that the Church of the Presentationof the Blessed Virgin of the UOC-Kyiv Patriarchate in Verkhne village ofTurka district set on fire.

The church was built in 1913 from wood, its height is 23 meters, and it is covered with iron 30 by 15 meters.

Awaiting rescue, the parishioners tried to extinguish the fire on their own, but the flames quickly spread to the wooden structure of the temple and spread to the wooden tower.

At 14:44 the fire was completely extinguished. The bell tower was saved, but its wooden wall area of 35 square meterswas damaged. The church burned down to the ground.
