Accomplice of Sunday Adelaja Sentenced to 7.5 Years of Imprisonment

Desna Court sentenced Iryna Danylchenko, the founder of the private company Grant, which is associated with Sunday Adelaja’s “Embassy of God,” to 7.5 years of imprisonment.

Iryna Danylchenko was found guilty of fraud. She received money from the parishioners of Sunday Adelaja’s Church for investments in the construction. All in all, the victims invested approximately a million US dollars but did not receive either the money or the right of ownership to the property.

Desna Court sentenced Iryna Danylchenko, the founder of the private company Grant, which is associated with Sunday Adelaja’s “Embassy of God,” to 7.5 years of imprisonment. So reported  Segodnya.ua.

“When Iryna was kept in the investigative isolation ward, she testified that she used to give 30% of the income to Sunday and that he instructed her to found “Grant.” This testimony was given both in the written form and on video. At that time, he was a defendant. Later, when she was released on recognizance not to leave, she altered the testimony and he was recognized to be a witness. It was expected that at the last sessions, she would give him away but she said nothing in this regard at the final session,” said the lawyer of the victims, Ivan Bodnarchuk.

Adelaja stated that he has nothing to do with “Grant.”
