On October 1, 2018, in Kremenets, Ternopil region, the first Society of Parents of Children with Disabilities and their friends Zoria Nadii was solemnly opened. This center appeared thanks to Davyd Andrushchuk, whose parents have long been promoting the idea of establishing such an institution for other specially-abled children in the region, the press service of the Seventh-day Adventists Church said.

The founder of the Center and mother of Davyd, Alla Andrushchuk, congratulated those present. She told them that her son was born 13 years ago, and -- for over 14 days -- doctors had fought for his life. When he made the first step, the doctors said that he had survived through prayers to God, because with such a diagnosis, only one out of a thousand survives.

Participants in the opening ceremony were guests from Germany and Poland since the first steps of this project were made with the support of their organizations. The representative of the Polish charitable organization, Maria Krul, was the person who started a friendly relationship between children with special abilities in these countries.

Among the honored guests were UNESCO Center Director Semenyuk V.S., representatives of the Red Cross Europe, representatives of local authorities Matviyuk M.M. and Stefansky V.A. Representatives of Dotyk, Pohliad, Apostol charitable organizations. The Adventist Church representative from the Adventist Agency for Assistance and Development (ADRA) talked about addressing the various needs that the community meets. The head of Kremenets city administration, V. Kozubsky, stressed that “if you knock, it shall be opened unto you. You come and convince us of your needs.”

In the end of 2016, Alla Andrushchuk appealed to representatives of Taras Shevchenko Kremenets Regional Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy with a proposal to develop a rehabilitation centre in the region. Various events: sports and work events were subsequently organized to provide jobs and employment to people with disabilities.

The All-Ukrainian coalition, led by Danish NGO Our Home, helped create an eco-workshop in which children learn to make something on their own.

At the end of the ceremony, a team was created to work and serve children with special abilities.
