Recently, over 50 communities in Ukraine have joined the OCU, and about 100 are in the process of transition.

The Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine Metropolitan Epifaniy said this on air during the national TV marathon, according to Ukrinform.

"In recent days, we have seen a rising surge of transitions of communities from the Russian Orthodox Church to the OCU. And within almost a few days, we have already completed more than 50 transitions. Now we say that about 100 communities have already decided, they are already in the process of transition. That is, gradually, Ukrainians who were previously in spiritual delusion, begin to see clearly. One by one, the communities all over Ukraine, in every region, not only in the West but also in the center, in the East and in the South," the head of the OCU said.

According to him, every day the OCU is informed that a particular community made a choice, held a meeting, and made a decision on the transition.

"And according to the law, each community has the right to change its jurisdiction. Therefore, I call on the communities of the Moscow Patriarchate to make appropriate decisions in the future, not to remain silent, but to join the recognized Orthodox Church," the Metropolitan said.

As RISU has reported, the Synod of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine has called on clergy and religious communities under the jurisdiction of the Moscow Patriarchate to enter into canonical unity with the OCU.
