Some Ukrainian and Russian media circulated a statement of Archpriest Mykola Danylevych that Ukraine's ambassador to the Vatican Tetiana Izhevska was summoned to the Pope about "religious laws" and expressed concern about them.
Apostolic Nunciature to Ukraine issued the statement and informed that at various occasions, some high-ranking persons at the Secretariat of State met the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Holy See to express concerns about the laws. Similar questions were raised by the Apostolic Nuncio to Ukraine archbishop Claudio Gugerotti with the representatives of the Ukrainian government.
