Archbishop Klyment determined to attend Hryb’s trial no matter what

“Yesterday I talked with the bishop. He said, “I will go, I will get there and I will be with Pavlo." And I think that next week he will be in Rostov-on-Don to attend the hearings,” said Ihor Hryb.

As reported, on March 3, Russian security forces in occupied Crimea arrested Archbishop Klyment (Kushch) of Simferopol and Crimea.

According to Ludmyla Denisova, the Commissioner for Human Rights, the reason for his detention was the planned meeting of t the archbishop with the Ukrainian political prisoner, Pavlo Hryb, in Rostov-on-Don.

Subsequently, lawyer Mykola Polozov reported that the archbishop was released without a protocol being drawn up.
