ATO participants to head this year the religious procession of the UOC-KP

The religious procession, organized by the UOC-KP on July 28 is to be led by the ATO participants alongside the Church's leaders. According to UNIAN, the patriarchal governor Metropolitan Epiphanius told journalists about it.

He said that the procession will follow the route from St Volodymyr’s Cathedral to the monument to St Volodymyr across Sofia Square and Mikhailovskaya Square.

On the occasion of the Baptism of Rus-Ukraine, a patriarchal Divine Liturgy will be held at St. Volodymyr Cathedral. Upon completion of the Liturgy, the all-Ukrainian procession from St Volodymyr Cathedral to the monument to the Equal-to-the-Prince Volodymyr will take place,” Bishop Epiphanius said.

 

In turn, Chair of the Synodal Department of the military clergy, Metropolitan Ioan said that this year the procession will be led by a column of ATO veterans who will carry the icon of the Blessed Theotokos. They will be accompanied by military priests.
