AUCCRO members met with the Prime Minister of Ukraine

On December 1, the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations met with Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, relevant ministers and other officials.

Religious figures noted the inexpediency of ratifying the Istanbul Convention and suggested developing the legislation of Ukraine in the field of countering domestic violence.

They also discussed high-profile legislative initiatives, banning commercial surrogacy as a form of child trafficking, vaccination issues and heating churches at new tariffs. Religious figures spoke about their work in the field of helping those in need and families in difficult circumstances.
