First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk announced today's meeting with representatives of the Auccro on the transformation of Ukraine into a European democratic state.

"Topical issues of Ukraine's transformation as a European democratic state were discussed with representatives of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations," he wrote on Facebook.

According to him, churches can and should play an important role in shaping the cultural and educational component of Ukraine's transformation strategy.

"Their success and achievements in the field of fulfilling their own fundamental tasks today are an obvious and indisputable fact.

Therefore, in order to reach a public consensus on the priorities of further democratic transformation of Ukraine, we agreed to organize and hold a number of national discussions on the development of the state," the official commented on the meeting.
