Autocephalous Orthodox Apologetics Seminar Forms In Kharkiv

In accordance with a decision of the 2002 eparchial assembly of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church (UAOC), a theological apologetics seminar entitled “Beyond the Boundaries of Orthodoxy” opened at the eparchial library in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. This news was reported on 27 September 2002.

The seminar is aimed at providing assistance in the evaluation of the activities of various religious groups and new religious movements that the seminar considers to be “cults,” which are developing rapidly in eastern Ukraine. The first meeting of the seminar was held on 25 September 2002 and was dedicated to the doctrine and activities of the Mormon Church, also known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
