The head of the regional Department for nationalities and religions Ihor Saletsky, who was dismissed from the office, appealed to Arsen Avakov so that he figured out why the National Police in Vinnytsia "supports" the OCU-MP and does not register the statements of members of the OCU.

The head of the regional Department for nationalities and religions Ihor Saletsky, who was dismissed from the office, appealed to Arsen Avakov so that he figured out why the National Police in Vinnytsia "supports" the OCU-MP and does not register the statements of members of the OCU.

It is reported by the online media "20 minutes Vinnytsia".

On October 17, 2019, he posted an open letter to the Minister of Interior, Arsen Avakov. He posted the text of the appeal on his page on Facebook.

As is known, Ihor Saletsky was dismissed from a position of the head of Department on Affairs of Nationalities and Religions on October 10, by the decision of city court. The case concerns the registration of religious communities in the villages of Luka-Meleshkivska, Vinnytsia district, and Bolshaya Kosnitsa, Yampolsky district, which moved to the jurisdiction of the OCU from the Moscow Patriarchate.

Ihor Saletsky asked for help to Avakov "I, Saletsky Ihor, citizen of Ukraine, civil servant, Head of the Department for Nationalities and Religions of Vinnytsia Regional State Administration, am forced to turn to the Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov, with a request to give relevant instructions to the competent units of the Ministry to provide an objective assessment of the situation that emerged in Vinnytsia region between the authorized entities and the Main Direction of the National Police of Ukraine in Vinnytsia region," Ihor Saletsky notes.

Saletsky asks the Minister to instruct the relevant divisions of the Ministry to objectively understand the situation.

It should be added that the application to the court on Ihor Saletsky filed the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Vinnytsia region. The court decided that Saletsky abused his power in registering religious communities that move from the OCU-MP to the OCU.

The court ruling states that it can be appealed within five days (and Ihor Saletsky promises to do so). However, the appeal does not stop the action of the ruling itself, according to the court decision.
