Belarusian Orthodox Church offered to shelter the monks from Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra

The Belarusian Orthodox Church has declared its willingness to accommodate monks from the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra within its territory in the event of their eviction from the monastery.

According to Ukrinform, citing Radio Free Europe, the Synod of the Belarusian Orthodox Church has stated that if the monks are forcibly evicted from the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, they can find a place for their monastic endeavors within the monastic communities of the Belarusian Orthodox Church.

The Belarusian Orthodox Church has also expressed its opposition to the "expulsion of the brethren of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra from the monastery, where they have labored in service to God and prayed for the benefit of the Ukrainian people for decades."
