Bishop Ian Purvinsky was awarded a title of the “Honorary Citizen of Zhytomyr”

On December 25, mayor Serhiy Sukhomlyn awarded a title of the "Honorary Citizen of Zhytomyr" to the Bishop of the Kyiv-Zhytomyr Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church Ian Purvinsky.

The mayor of Zhytomyr wrote about this on his Facebook page, Zhytomyr online reports.

"In a warm festive atmosphere, he conferred on the Bishop of the Kyiv-Zhytomyr Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church, Ian Purvinsky, a title of the "Honorary Citizen of Zhytomyr". For me, Ian Purvinsky is a person who constitutes the spiritual and value foundation of our city! A man with a big heart who has devoted his whole life to serving God and his flock. Thank you, Lord! Once again, I congratulate all of us on Christmas!", writes Serhiy Sukhomlyn.
