Auxiliary bishop of the RCC Diocese of Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia Ian Sobilo, who was in Rome during the ad Limina Apostolorum visit, gave an interview to Vatican Radio.
Bishop Ian said that one can also build unity between the peoples in Ukraine and all its neighborsthrough internal unity between Catholic bishops of Ukraine, which in these days came to the meeting with Pope Francis. The hierarch told about the current close cooperation between the Roman Catholic and Greek Catholic priestson the territory affected by the war in eastern Ukraine. “This war is a disaster and it brings us together, and we feel that we are one Church,” said Bishop Ian Sobilo.
