Bishop Kenneth Nowakowski of the UGCC called for prayers for the repose of Queen Elizabeth II

On September 8, 2022, Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain passed away at the age of 97. Kenneth Nowakowski, bishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Diocese of the Holy Family in London, called on the clergy and faithful of the diocese to pray for the queen's peaceful repose and expressed his condolences to the royal family.

This is reported by the Department of Information of the UGCC.

"The news from Buckingham Palace about the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is a cause of deep sadness," the statement of the diocese reads.

"I ask the clergy and faithful of the Ukrainian Catholic Diocese of the Holy Family in London to unite in their prayers for the peaceful repose of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We express our deepest condolences to the royal family," Bishop Kenneth Nowakowski said.
