On behalf of the head of the UGCC and the clergy and faithful of the diocese, Bishop Kenneth Nowakowski of the Ukrainian Catholic Diocese of the Most Holy Family in London addressed the new King of Great Britain, Charles III, expressing his condolences on the passing of his mother Queen Elizabeth II and assured him of prayer for him and for all members of the royal family in this time of sadness and sorrow.

According to the UGCC Information Department, this is stated in the pastoral letter Bishop Kenneth to the clergy and faithful of the diocese.

"On behalf of our Patriarch His Beatitude Sviatoslav, the all-honorable clergy and faithful of the Ukrainian Catholic Diocese of the Most Holy Family in London and the faithful Belarusian and Slovak Greek Catholics in the UK, I would like to express my condolences to your Majesty on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Your mother," Bishop Kenneth Nowakowski, who oversees Greek Catholics in the UK, wrote to King Charles III.

The Bishop assured the new monarch of the great respect and commitment of Ukrainians, Belarusians and Slovaks living in the UK to the late Queen, as well as in prayer for him and for all members of the royal family at this time of sadness and sorrow.

Similarly, the bishop appealed to the diocese priests to serve the Divine Liturgy for the repose of Her Majesty Elizabeth II "so that the Lord may rest her soul, where all the holy and righteous rest, and grant her eternal memory." The hierarch also asked the faithful to remember the newly appointed queen in their prayers.

Quoting the national anthem and a prayer for the monarch, Bishop Kenneth Nowakowski added: "Now we are praying for King Charles III with the same words: 'God Save The King!'".
