Bishop Stepan Sus met with the Ambassador of Ukraine to Portugal

The head of the Pastoral and Migration Department of the UGCC, Bishop Stepan Sus, met with the Ambassador of Ukraine to Portugal Inna Ohnivets during his pastoral visit.

The parties discussed the life of Ukrainian community throughout Portugal and outlined common goals for the nearest future.

Bishop Stepan introduced a newly appointed coordinator of the UGCC Chaplaincy in Portugal Fr. Havryil Tymchyk, OSBM, and laid out strategic planning of Chaplaincy service in the coming years.

Hence, Inna Ohnivets shared her experience of collaboration among the UGCC, Portugal and Ukrainian community. She also emphasised the necessity to joint efforts of the Ukrainian state and the Church in order to support Ukrainians dwelling in this country.
