The Center for Countering Disinformation anticipates an increase in religious conflicts in the information space during the Easter holidays.

Ivan Slychko, the head of the Media Literacy Department of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, made this announcement on Hromadske Radio:

"We forecast an increase in religious conflicts in the information space during the Easter holidays. Russia, as always, will seize upon some serious information pretext and twist it to fit their narrative. The number of provocative fakes and manipulations regarding the suppression of clergy and believers of the Moscow Patriarchate in Ukraine will increase."

Narratives such as "the Kyiv regime is against the canonical Church" are also expected to be circulated to discredit the Ukrainian government.

"Based on past experience, there is a high probability that Russia is preparing missile provocations during the holidays, so do not ignore air raid signals. If anything like this is announced in the information space, we will inform the public, but it is advisable not to disregard alarm signals and immediately take cover," Slychko said.

The Center for Countering Disinformation emphasizes that in all these regions, there is a high likelihood of activity by enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups and urges citizens to be very attentive and cautious.
