The chair of the Council of Elders of the Church of Evangelical Christians in Ukraine, Bishop Vasyl Boyechko, released today a Pastoral Word to the people of Ukraine, the clergy, politicians, and state rulers.

The bishop of the Church of Evangelical Christians in Ukraine urges the Ukrainian people “not to be ashamed to call the Savior for help”;

The clergy “to leave behind religious strife and phobias and raise the native, one nation to prayer”;

The politicians to be guided by the Eternal Book of the Bible in all their actions: “Let me remind you today of one piece of advice from God’s Holy Book: ‘There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord. The horse is prepared for the day of battle, But victory belongs to the Lord.’

Bishop Vasyl Boechko warns the state rulers: “Rulers – from the lowest to the highest! Woe unto you that you forgot the eternal truth: You do not control the people, the people control you – on their overworked shoulders and calloused hands. Therefore the Lord God Himself warns you: ‘He who touches us (the people) touches the pupil of His eye.’”
