On 15 December, at night, unknown persons set on fire the wooden church of the Tithe Monastery located in the center of Kyiv, near the foundations of the ancient Tithe Church of the Kyivan Rus time.
According to Fr. Antonii, the press secretary of the monastery’s superior, Archimandrite Gedeon (Kharon), at 3:45 am, the surveillance cameras recorded a man who broke a window and set the building on fire.
The fire was discovered in the morning. At 7 a.m., the police was called.
