Ramzan Kadyrov, the Head of the Chechen Republic, has reported that he is already preparing Muslim clerics for the war in Ukraine: the first group of theologians from the spiritual administration of Muslims was trained at the Russian Special Forces University in Chechnya.

Kadyrov wrote it on Telegram

"Our best instructors taught them safe handling of weapons, basic skills of tactical and fire training and provision of first aid. The training took 7 days," said he.

Kadyrov said that Salah-Khaji Mezhiev, the supreme mufti [Islamic lawyer qualified to issue a nonbinding opinion on a point of Islamic law – ed.] of Chechnya, who had undergone training, assured that the worshippers were ready to go to war in Ukraine if necessary, "to make a significant contribution to the victory of our state over the servants of Satan."

According to him, more than 300 qadis and imams of mosques in Chechnya plan to undergo military training at the Special Forces' facilities.

In October 2022, the Kremlin-controlled head of Chechnya said that what is going on is not a special military operation, but a war. According to him, this war is "between Orthodox, Muslims, and Satanists."
