Church of UOC-MP in Sumy Oblast Robbed

Unknown persons stole from the Church of Resurrection in the village of Yasenove in the Sumy Oblast nine ancient icons, two Gospels, church utensils and the box with donations.

Unknown persons stole from the Church of Resurrection in the village of Yasenove in the Sumy Oblast nine ancient icons, two Gospels, church utensils and the box with donations. The robbers were arrogant and broke the altar. The crime was committed on December 17-22, the press service of the Sumy Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate reported.

Deputy Head of the Okhtyrka Town Department of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sumy Oblast Olena Myronenko reported to RISU that the incident was reported by the senior priest of the church. The locks at the entrance door were broken. The police assume it was done at night time. An investigation is being conducted.
