Clergymen and Scholars in Lviv To Celebrate 50th Anniversary of 2nd Vatican Council

On 31 May-2 June, an International Scholarly Conference “2nd Vatican Council: Gifts of the Spirit – Church Mystery – Human Testimony” will be held at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv on occasion of the 50th anniversary of the 2nd Vatican Council.

On 31 May-2 June, an International Scholarly Conference “2nd Vatican Council: Gifts of the Spirit – Church Mystery – Human Testimony” will be held at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv on occasion of the 50th anniversary of the 2nd Vatican Council.

According to the Information Department of UGCC, the participants will be addressed by a direct witness of the Council, Bishop Andrii (Sapeliak). They will also have an opportunity to discuss the main documents, resolutions and ecumenical character of the 2nd Vatican Council, its influence on the development of the theological tradition of the Church, Liturgies, ecumenical relations and dialogue as a strategy of inter-religious relations.

The event is organized by the Institute of Ecumenical Studies of UCU (Lviv), Institute of Religion and Society of UCU (Lviv) and Institute of St. Clement the Pope of UCU (Rome).
