On the night of Sunday, September 28, 2025, the Russian Federation carried out another massive terrorist attack, launching dozens of missiles of various types and over 600 UAVs against Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Bila Tserkva, and other Ukrainian cities and towns. As a result of these Russian terrorist strikes, civilian infrastructure facilities were destroyed, including hospitals and numerous residential buildings. Dozens of civilians were killed and injured.
Once again, the Russian Federation, being a permanent member of the UN Security Council, has demonstrated its criminal and misanthropic nature, as well as its complete disregard for all UN member states — except for dictatorial regimes. This terrorist attack on Ukraine was carried out by Russia during the very week when the new session of the UN General Assembly opened.
We once again strongly condemn the latest terrorist attacks by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian cities and villages, which confirm that Russia is a terrorist state. We reiterate that any support for the Russian Federation — including trade and cooperation — is equivalent to supporting murderers and terrorists. Such actions entail not only moral responsibility but also accountability before God, the Righteous Judge.
We call on leading democratic nations to provide Ukraine with effective air-defense and missile-defense systems, and to strengthen economic and political pressure on the Russian Federation to compel it to end its war of aggression and establish a just and lasting peace for Ukraine.
We also take this opportunity to once again express our sincere gratitude to all religious leaders, believers of different confessions, politicians, and people of goodwill around the world for their support of the Ukrainian people, for their prayers for the end of Russia’s war of aggression, and for the achievement of a just and sustainable peace for Ukraine and Europe.
