"Dear brothers and sisters,
during a meeting on March 10, 2021, the Council of Evangelical Protestant churches of Ukraine in Kyiv has adopted this appeal to the Churches of Ukraine to hold the Ukrainian nationwide prayer and fasting on March 15-20 this year.
Due to the next increase in the number of coronavirus patients and prolonged quarantine restrictions, fear and helplessness bind people. As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we are aware of our responsibility for the well-being of our people and the city.
Therefore, we call on all Christians in Ukraine to pray and fast for our people with the belief that "the fervent prayer of the righteous is very powerful" (James 5:16).
The appeal of the Council of Evangelical Protestant Churches to local communities
Let us unite in prayer in our families and church communities for:
- God's protection of people's lives during the virus epidemic;
- preservation of trust and God's peace in the hearts of people;
- an example of merciful treatment of the sick and needy;
- healing of patients who contracted coronavirus;
- conversion of people to God.
This call was made by Anatoly Havrilyuk, senior bishop of the Council of Independent Charismatic Christian Churches of Ukraine (Full Gospel), Chairman of the Council of Evangelical Protestant Churches of Ukraine."
