On July 21 unknown persons burned down the country house of Archbishop Clement (UOC Kyivan Patriarchate) in the village of Marmara, in the Simferopol region.

On July 21 unknown persons burned down the country house of Archbishop Clement (UOC Kyivan Patriarchate) in the village of Marmara, in the Simferopol region. Bishop Clement told this to the publication Krym.Realiyi. The archbishop himself was not there yet.

"I called, they said that everything is burned, only the iron roof is left," he said. Next to this building is the Church of the Transfiguration of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate. This land is privately owned by Archbishop Clement. In this act of arson Bishop Clement sees a warning that the next target may be the church, which is located next to the burned down house.

"After the events in the village Perevalne (representatives of the so-called Crimean Self-Defense have taken the Kyiv Patriarchate Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin) a systematic assault on our property began. Given this, we consider the burning of the house as a warning from the same people that the following may be the church," said Bishop Clement. At the same time, he said that he did not intend to apply to law enforcement authorities on this matter.
