“The course of history cannot be stopped! Soon after the decision of the Greek Church, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine was recognized by the Patriarchate of Alexandria. This is one of the ancient Patriarchates, the second after the Ecumenical one. We thank the Church of Alexandria, Our Mother Church of Constantinople, the Church of Greece and all those who have made and are making possible the confident formation of the Ukrainian Church,” Petro Poroshenko stressed.
“The independent Orthodox Church of Ukraine is becoming stronger and stronger. The duet of Putin and Kirill will not stop the process of its recognition by all world Orthodoxy after His Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew granted us Tomos earlier this year. This process is to be continued,” Petro Poroshenko finished the speech.
