The court case regarding the eviction of the monks from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) from the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra has been postponed to August. On July 20, the first court hearing took place at the Kyiv Economic Court in response to the lawsuit filed by the National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve against the Kyiv Pechersk Monastery.

According to Lavra's website, 40 monks and believers attended the hearing, with some of them allowed into the courtroom.

After both parties delivered their opening statements, a recess was announced, and the case will now be heard in August 2023.
