The Administrative Court of Kyiv laid off the construction of a residential complex at 17-23 Olesia Honchara Street, near the Historic and Cultural Reserve “Sophia of Kyiv.”

The Administrative Court of Kyiv laid off the construction of a residential complex at 17-23 Olesia Honchara Street, near the Historic and Cultural Reserve “Sophia of Kyiv.”

The Court passed a resolution in this regard as a temporary measure for the time of the trial on the merits.

“The Kyiv City State Administration combats illegal construction on the side of the Kyivers. The constructions in the center of Kyiv, especially, in the buffer zone of Sophia of Kyiv, can ruin the important cultural monument and distort the appearance of our city and are a hindrance to our residents. Therefore, a European capital should not have them,” noted the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Oleksandr Puzanov.

The head of the faction Motherland of Yulia Tymoshenko of the Kyiv City Council also stated in her turn that it is already the second prohibition of the court. According to her, the building company ignored the previous such resolution of Shevchenko Dicstrict Court of Kyiv.

As reported earlier, the Kyiv City Council gave a permission to a private joint-stock company L-Capital to develop draft documentation regarding allocation of a land plot at 11 Zolotovoritska Street, a few hundred meters away from the walls of Sophia of Kyiv. So reported Correspondent.
