Crimean mosque in Kyiv restored after September missile attack

The building of the Islamic Cultural Center of the Association of Muslims of Ukraine/Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of Crimea in Kyiv, also known as the Nyvky mosque, has been restored.

This was reported on December 12 by the press service of the Association of Muslims of Ukraine, according to Suspilne.

The mosque was damaged in a massive missile attack on Kyiv in September this year.

“Praise be to Allah! The repair works at the Association of Muslims of Ukraine mosque have been successfully completed. There can be no breaks in delivering the message of Islam, and the worship of Allah is a noble mission carried out by dedicated and honest people no matter what,” the statement reads.

As reported previously, on the night of September 2 this year, the occupiers launched a massive missile attack on Kyiv. The building of the Islamic Cultural Center of the Association of Muslims of Ukraine/ Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of Crimea was damaged as a result of the falling debris.

The attack took place after 5 am. The blast wave shattered the windows and blew out the doors, and the ceiling in one room collapsed. No one was injured in the attack.

According to the second deputy of the Supreme Mufti of Crimea, Vadym Dashevsky, 90% of the windows in the building were damaged, and more than half of the premises required major repairs.
