This was stated by Deputy Mufti of the Muslims of Crimea Ayder Ismailov, according to Press of Ukraine.

The Religious Administration of Muslims of the Crimean peninsula condemned the idea of creating alternative structures in Kyiv. In addition, the Muftiyat urged Ukrainian politicians abstain from using religion for their own purposes.

This was stated by Deputy Mufti of the Muslims of Crimea Ayder Ismailov, according to Press of Ukraine.

“How can there be a Crimean Muftiyat in Kyiv? Why not in Istanbul, New York or London ?! Crimean Tatar people are living in the Crimea, in their homeland, and Crimean Muftiyat together with Muslims of Crimea has existed exists and will always exist,” Ismailov says.

However, he emphasized that Muftiyat was trying to worthily bear a burden entrusted on it by the Crimean Muslims.

“Let the politicians abstain from using religion for their own purposes, God is not on their side,” Ismailov says.

As we have previously reported, the leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev said that Ukraine would soon set up the Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea headquartered in Kyiv.

In addition, Dzhemilev said that the currently acting Muftiyat of Crimea “does not reflect the expectations and opinions of Muslims.”
