CRIMEA — The Crimean Tatars Mejlis is preparing a statement to the Office of the Public Prosecutor General of Ukraine with a demand to initiate proceedings against the new Minister of Internal Affairs, Anatolii Mohiliov, for anti-Tatar propaganda and humiliation of Islam, stated the leader of the Mejlis, a Ukrainian deputy of the Our Ukraine-National Self Defense block, Mustafa Dzhemiliov.

He commented to imk.com.ua that “it is about his anti-Tatar propaganda in the media. It is a publication in the newspaper Krymska Pravda containing not only accusations against the Crimean Tatars of the Mejlis (we are used to that) but against the whole people saying that they are traitors, do not bear responsibility, and it also includes offences against our religion – Islam.”
