KYIV – On June 4, 2010, the speaker of the Ukrainian parliament, Volodymyr Lytvyn, read out at the session of the Supreme Council of Ukraine the deputy Volodymyr Yavorivskyi’s inquiry to the head of the Security Service of Ukraine about the intimidation and pressure on the administration and students of the Ukrainian Catholic University by the Security Service of Ukraine in order to prevent students from participating in peaceful protests, which is the first sign of the beginning of the revival of KGB times, reported the deputy’s website.
Yavorivskyi also addressed the Vice Prime Minister Volodymyr Semynozhenko as to the attempt of Dmytro Tabachnyk to make Russian literature constitute three-fourths of the literature used in the educational process, which rejects world classics and continues the destruction of the Ukrainian system of educational and humanitarian space.
