Members of communities that are part of the council, who come from more than 100 countries, united for prayer on May 25 on the occasion of the anniversary of the Chornobyl nuclear disaster.
In connection with the upcoming conference, the leaders of the World Council of Churches said: “The Earth needs Christians who together with other people willl make the world in creation and the world with creation,” reported Radio Vatican.
