Ecumenical Patriarch expressed his support to those affected by the fire in Greece

The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew expressed the support and sympathy of the Mother Church to all those who are currently being tested by the catastrophic fire in Varybobi, Adames, and neighboring areas in a telephone conversation he had recently with Metropolitan Athenagoras of Ilion, Acharnes, and Petroupolis.

The Ecumenical Patriarch wished God to protect the inhabitants of the endangered areas and to strengthen the fire brigade to put out the fire as soon as possible.

He asked Metropolitan Athenagoras to convey to Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all of Greece the feelings of solidarity and support of the Mother Church.
