Ecumenical Patriarchate representatives support Metropolitan Epifaniy in his effort to develop OCU

Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine met with representatives of the Ecumenical Patriarchate Metropolitan Emmanuel of France and Second Secretary of the Holy and Sacred Synod Deacon Gregory (Fragakis) on May 23. The official site of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine reports, “The parties discussed the actual issues of church life: both internal church matters and those of all-Orthodox nature and significance."

The Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the representatives of Constantinople for the constant care of the Mother-Church for peace and unity.

In their turn, the representatives of the Ecumenical Patriarchate expressed support for His Beatitude in his hard every day work on the building up of the Local Orthodox Church of Ukraine and wished him assistance from God.”
