On February 15, on the Feast of Candlemas, the Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarch, Bishop Michael (Anishchenko) of Koman, prayed for the protection of Ukraine from a possible new large-scale military invasion and for the military defenders of our state.
This is stated on the page of the Stauropegion of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Kyiv.
"We can help the state not only by serving at the front, but also by being in the middle of Ukraine, we can serve the state with a good attitude towards each other, helping each other, and caring for each other. So that we can unite and hold on to each other, as Ukrainians and, above all, as Christian believers. Remembering that no matter what difficult times might be, when we pray and receive Communion, we meet Christ and therefore unite even in difficult times, everyone should see Christ in us. Remember that. May the Lord preserve all of us and our Ukrainian state and help us live for many, many years in peace, kindness and piety," Bishop Michael said, asking God to protect our Ukraine from war.
