Filaret asks court to prohibit transfer of St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery to OCU

The District administrative court received a petition from the Kyiv Patriarchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate (UOC-KP) to secure a claim in which Kyiv Patriarchate of the UOC-KP requests the court to prohibit Kyiv City State Administration and Kyiv City Council (KMP) from transfer of real estate to other entities.

The District administrative court received a petition from the Kyiv Patriarchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate (UOC-KP) to secure a claim in which Kyiv Patriarchate of the UOC-KP requests the court to prohibit Kyiv City State Administration and Kyiv City Council (KMP) from transfer of real estate to other entities.

"In particular, the plaintiff asks the court to prohibit Kyiv City Council and Kyiv City State Administration to take any action to prevent the plaintiff from using the buildings of St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery and the Church of the Assumption of the Holy Theotokos of Pyrogoshcha. At the same time, the plaintiff asks to prohibit Kyiv City Council and the Kyiv City State Administration from carrying out any action on transfer for use of other persons, except for Kyiv Patriarchate of the UOC-KP, the said immovable property," the website of the District Administrative Court reported on Friday.

Now the court decides whether there are legal grounds for taking measures to secure the claim. It was reported by Interfax-Ukraine
